Who am I

Knowledge can lead anyone to success, it's just a matter of how hard someone is willing to work for it. My name is Nate Doughty and I am a current undergraduate student at Ohio University's Scripps College of Communication, majoring in Journalism News and Information. I personally believe as a global citizen, everyone should do their part and know what is going on in the world around them and I would like to play a part on informing these people.

TV Shows

Words cannot describe how much I love HBO's The Newsroom. The general plot is about this fictional news company covering important stories throughout the year. The characters are left with making difficult decisions on what should and should not be covered. My words cannot explain it enough, so I have attached my two favorite clips below. The one on the left is about the killing of Osama bin Laden and the one on the right is about the shooting of congresswoman Gabriel Giffords.  There were a total of three seasons and 26 episodes total - each ranging about 50-60 minutes in length.

I use The Verge to read technology related news. They have a great forum section for anyone to discuss almost anything. My account for The Verge can be found here.
Imgur is a website I cannot live without. It allows anyone to upload their photos for easy storage and sharing. My favorite part about Imgur however is the user base. Everyday I log on and view the day's top images and of course with the top images come along the top comments. You really have to experience if yourself to understand why I keep going back everyday. Oh Amazon, how I love you. I order so much from them it is a bit of a problem. If you can think of it, Amazon probably has it, and at a really cheap price too. Amazon gift cards are always an acceptable gift.
